Biscuit

Biscuit

The BISCUIT from RED ANT is an overdrive pedal, based on the CMOS chip CD4049 and inspired by Craig Anderton´s TUBE SOUND FUZZ. (The schematic was published in the book “Electronic Projects for Musicians” in 1975.) It was followed up by the now legendary and commercially successful RED LLAMA produced by Way Huge. The BISCUIT has two standard controls; DRIVE and VOLUME. Sonically, it could be characterized by the term “Tweed style drive" and it features a high output volume level and punchy huge low end. It also features the typical “farty fuzzy” sound when you crank the DRIVE up. The BISCUIT, like the pedal it’s inspired by has a modified frequency response with slighty less bass than the original.
